Seafields was first introduced to the world at COP26 and is targeting the removal 1Gt of CO2 from the atmosphere each year using floating Sargassum. It is a Greentribe backed venture, and one of our founders John Wedge Auckland is embedded in the project to help to drive its success.
Seafields is developing proprietary underwater pipes to upwell nutrients that will feed the Sargassum that will be grown in the mid-Atlantic, ready for processing and baling for multiple different uses.
